Look beyond the fence
break the stereotype
Austria, August 14 - 25, 2016
This Stop Animation video was developed during one of the creative workshops.
Participants from Macedonia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia and Austria worked together with minor refugees from Syria and Afghanistan to create a wonderful and inspiring atmosphere of understanding and appreciating while breaking down more and more stereotypes.
Both videos were created in the workshops during the youth exchange by a group of creative participants for nonprofit educational purposes only.

The story of Rami
This is Rami, he's not a soldier, he is not a terrorist also.
He is a refuge. But what does that term really mean?
The world has known refugees for millennia, but the modern definition was drafted in the UN's 1951 convention relating to the status of refugees in response to mass persecutions and displacements of the Second World War. It defines a refugee as someone who is outside their country of nationality, and it's unable to return to their home country, because of well-founded fears of being persecuted. That persecution may be due to the race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group or political opinion, and it's often related to war and violence.
Rami didn't chose war or violence, rami choose to go on a youth exchange. On this youth exchange he will gain new experience, and had a lot of fun he will meet a lot of new friends
To come to Austria, he travelled by bus, train, boat , plane, running and hiking.
Did I mention on he's gonna meet some new friends and had a lot of fun?
Just wait for it.
